WHY WE CARE
As the United States of America races towards becoming a post-Christian context, the need for healthy church plants has increased. The problem is that most church planters are starting new churches in the suburbs or in parts of the city that are as far from the troubles seen in the inner city. The United States has spent years training people to go overseas to make disciples of all nations but has spent very little time training people to go to the other side of their city to reach the hard neighborhoods.

WHY “URBAN THEOLOGIANS”?
Urban Theologians is run by and features real people doing urban ministry and having to think through the challenges of reaching people for the sake of the Gospel that come from different educational backgrounds, ethnicities, ages and socioeconomic classes. People have a desire and know that the Bible calls us to reach all people, but knowin how to do that is hard. While more and more people around the world are moving to cities, its creating complexities that Christians are not equipped for. Urban Theologians is a place that Christian’s can come to learn how they can be on mission in the city.
